Months after relocating their popular bakery and ice cream shop from Alabaster to Birmingham, the owners of K&J’s Elegant Pastries have announced they are opening a second location.
Proprietor and executive pastry chef Kristal Bryant announced the news this week in a video on Instagram.
“I’m super excited abut this store. It’s in Hoover, in Ross Bridge. This is like the Market Street,” says Bryant as she pans the camera around the new location.
K&J’s Elegant Pastries is moving into the former Dreamcakes location, according to Bham Now. This summer, Dreamcakes closed its two locations in Hoover and Homewood after 13 years of business.
This past summer, K&J’s Elegant Pastries relocated from Alabaster to Birmingham’s Uptown entertainment district. In 2020, pastry chef and shop owner Kristal Bryant told Birmingham Magazine that opening a location in Birmingham was her dream. “That’s my hometown and that’s where most of my customers are.”
