It’s still October and some stores already have Christmas trees and other decorations on display. Is it too soon?

LaTonya Jones Starks

LaTonya Jones Starks: “I absolutely think it’s too soon because we haven’t had Halloween yet, but I guess we can eat all the candy and be thankful for the sugar high and then be ready to gift our loved ones at the end of the year.”

Christen Hill

Christen Hill: “Personally, I don’t have a moral objection to it or anything, but I don’t really shop for it until probably after Thanksgiving because I tend to take one holiday at a time, but I think it is just a little early. Halloween hasn’t come yet so I think after that might be better to put those displays out.”

Sam Hill

Sam Hill: “It’s never too soon for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday and to me it is the best time of the year. Seeing all the decorations and the trees in the store really puts me in the Christmas spirit and gets me excited about the holiday season.”

Annie Allen

Annie Allen: “I personally think it’s too soon to put out Christmas decorations only because I think Christmas has become so commercialized and for me, I would not like to see Christmas things go out until after Thanksgiving because I think people forget Thanksgiving and its meaning and what it really represents.”
