This fall, Vulcan Park and Museum will once again host the popular Vulcan AfterTunes concert series. The 2017 event will take place every other Sunday throughout the month of October.

The series kicks off on Oct. 1 featuring Swear and Shake, an up and coming indie buzz band with high energy and great songwriters, and Farewell Angelina, a new, all-female country act that have played in Birmingham a few times and have already built up a solid fan base. Featured brews at this concert will be Huntsville’s Yellow Hammer Brewing Company, along with selections from Cigar City and Founders.

Next up for Vulcan AfterTunes 2017 on Oct. 15 is the New Breed Brass Band, a high-energy New Orleans brass band. Brass bands at AfterTunes are always a huge hit. These guys, along with local favorites, Heath Green & The Makeshifters, will make for a very festive Sunday afternoon! Featured brews at this concert will be Birmingham’s own Avondale Brewing Company, along with selections from Cigar City and Founders.

Closing out this year’s series on Oct. 29 will be Americana sensation Aaron Lee Tasjan who is quickly making a name for himself in the industry with great songwriting and incredible live performances. If you like Jason Isbell, Margo Price and Sturgill Simpson, you’ll like Aaron Lee Tasjan. Paired with local talent Early James, the final installment of this year’s Vulcan AfterTunes is not to be missed! Featured brews at this concert will be Birmingham’s own Good People Brewing Company, along with selections from Cigar City and Founders.

Enjoy cool tunes, craft brews and sweet views with these up-and-coming artists as well as everyone’s favorite cast iron statue, Vulcan. Chill out in Birmingham’s backyard with your lawn chairs and blankets and bring the whole family out to enjoy some of the country’s best rising entertainers.
