The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service, along with the Division of Youth Services, held the Second Annual Fire Department Expo at Avondale Park Saturday. Many city departments came together to demonstrate fire safety and bystander CPR. Children were able to explore fire trucks, rescue equipment including helicopters and ambulances. The hands-on event had firefighters and EMTs showing off their gear to amazed children and adults alike.
