Congratulations to 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch!
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 Crispy M&M’s Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing won only nine months after suffering a broken right leg and left foot in an accident at Daytona Kyle Busch won at Homestead-Miami Speedway to capture the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship. The title is the first for Busch, Toyota and Mars.
Kyle Busch and his brother, Kurt (2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion), join Terry and Bobby Labonte as the only brothers to earn NSCS titles.
The traditional May kickoff weekend is set for the GEICO 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, May 1, 2016. The GEICO 500 will be the anchor event of the weekend, which will also consist of the ARCA Racing Series (which has competed at Talladega since 1969) race on Friday, April 29, as well as the NASCAR XFINITY Series 300-miler on Saturday, April 30.
TALLADEGA 2016 SCHEDULE
Talladega will again have its spot in the 2016 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup on Sunday, Oct. 23. It will mark the third straight year that the 188-lap, 500-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will be the sixth race in The Chase, the important third and final event in the Contender Round where the field of eligible drivers for the championship will be cut from 12 to eight. The fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race also headlines the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 22.
DEGA JAM – July 4, 5, 6 2016
In addition to Talladega Superspeedway’s racing weekends, the track is proud to host its first-ever country music festival in 2016. Dega Jam, set for the fourth of July weekend, July 1, 2 & 3, 2016, will have a monster lineup that includes Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Kid Rock, Hank Williams, Jr., Billy Currington, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lee Brice, Martina McBride, Gary Allan, Kip Moore, Tyler Farr and dozens more.
