In an effort to share district news and gain community feedback in an open forum, Birmingham City Schools Superintendent Dr. Kelley Castlin-Gacutan will host a Listening and Learning Tour this fall at the district’s seven high schools. They will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The first one was held on Monday, Aug. 24 at Huffman High School, 950 Springville Road.
They will be open to the public. A spring tour is also planned.
Dr. Gacutan began work as superintendent on July 1, 2015. She’s met many parents, employees and community members. She’s also developed plans for the system. But she said she wants to meet more people, share the district’s good news and hear from the public. She will have a PowerPoint presentation and then have a Q&A session during her tour. Surveys will also be distributed.
