TALLADEGA, Ala. – (GCAConf.com) – Talladega College is now the number two ranked team in the nation after the Tornadoes tallied 237 points, including a first-place vote, in the latest NAIA Division I Coaches’ Top 25 released recently. This is the highest any GCAC team has been ranked since LSU-Shreveport was second on February 20, 2008. Talladega (22-3, 9-0 GCAC) is tied for the most wins in the NAIA with 22 and has the nation’s longest current win streak at 17 consecutive games. The Tornadoes rank in the top five nationally in scoring margin (+18.8) and in field goal percentage at better than 50 percent shooting. They hold a 1.5 game edge over Xavier in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference standings.
