Wells FargoBIRMINGHAM  – Wells Fargo team members are proving that small measures add up to make a huge difference by choosing 34 nonprofits across Birmingham for $1,000 grants as the Days of Giving program celebrates its fifth anniversary across Alabama.
At the same ceremony, Wells Fargo also presented the United Way of Central Alabama with a check for $250,000.
Through the $1,000 grants given through Days of Giving, Wells Fargo has given $843,000 to groups across the Mid-South since the program began in 2010.
Days of Giving allows Wells Fargo team members to select and honor groups helping in their local communities.
“The collective work of these 34 nonprofits makes a huge impact in our communities,” said Leigh Collier, Mid-South region president for Wells Fargo.
“Our community has a variety of needs and we are honored to support these groups in their efforts to change Birmingham for the better – one step at a time.”
