“The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge.” Proverbs 15:14
I will be the first to confess to how uninformed I feel at times in reference to this vast world in which we live. We see so much, experience all kinds and sorts, degrees and platforms of life in general: and yet, there are times I find myself asking, as most of you, “What in this world is going on?” Things just do not fit the norm. As most who live in our great city, we love it here.
As I alluded to last week, we have established government, laws, and schools to enrich our culture. Still, there is an enormous need for change. Wherever humans are involved, we are dealing with territorial or geographical spiritual forces. Though we cannot change all people, as a part of a Higher Government, we can still usher in change. As a people of God, we are a type of city within a city, set upon a hill that should be impossible to hide, obvious without introduction of a guide. We are also the salt for the grounds we walk on (Matthew 5:13); but we must strive not to lose our savor, wherewith the grounds are salted. The power of agreement and the power of intercession are our weapons. The true believers of God understand all too well James 5:15-16. It is the righteous men’s fervent prayers that reach the heart of God and move Him. Fasting, a tool or weapon most people run from, can only add to the path to victory ( Matthew 17:21). Certainly, there are precautions, as many of you have already asked, but if you are serious about change, God will lead you to it and through that which is acceptable to Him.
So where are we, and does the salt still preserve humanity? There are many of us who once walked in a fervent place with our Creator, God. I meet so many people who are not searching for God because they have never met Him or are not born again; but because they once knew Him and walked up-right before Him in fellowship beyond the acquiring of carnal things. The Spirit of the Living God will lead everyone who has a desire to once again, find that “path” of righteousness. This path has been trodden and walked by those who have truly found “the old path”, that highway that Isaiah spoke of in 35:8…And an highway shall be there, and a way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein…(9 b.)…no ravenous beast shall be thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk THERE!
So, having read this, many might say, “Well it just doesn’t take all of that.” I decree the Word that says that our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of every stronghold. But remember, only the salt of the earth can do this thing. Have a great week by sharing your love for Him with someone every day!! Pass the salt, please!
