PERILOUS TIMES
Perilous times, are dangerous times, such as the times we now live in, whereby those who profess to know Jesus are lovers of themselves walking in an arrogant spirit with empty minds, which means they do not carefully choose their words when speaking the Word of God. They are full of words that are irreverent to Scripture, and they speak them boastfully to their congregation. Silly women love it and pride themselves in walking in it. These are the times that II timothy 3:1 and II Peter 2:1 teaches you about. You must be vigilant to such Scripture for yourself and read what God has in His Word regarding the times we presently live in so that you will not be misled by erroneous teachers who profess to be teachers of the Word of God, but they are not or they teach to mislead you.
Jesus said, “You shall know them by their fruits [Matthew 7:5-20]. Jesus said to the Pharisees one day, “Search the Scripture”. Do you search Scriptures, in order to” know” what it says?
The Lord is calling for all those who are His to live a quiet and reserved life for Him in this world – so the world may see the difference in lifestyles, and be encouraged to give their lives to the Lord. Scripture teaches, come out from among them. This does not mean for you to live apart from the people in the world, if you do, you cannot reach the world for the Lord. He does mean for you to live a Christian life in the midst of the world. The life you live should be a calling card to come to Jesus. “This is the way – walk therein. It is not necessarily spoken words that win people to the Lord, but rather, the life you live during your daily walk with the Lord that is most impressive. Your life should be a reflection – “Jesus lives in me” – meaning the Holy Spirit is your guide/leader.
Perilous times means your life is at risk and in danger, no matter what you do or say. As you can see, laws are being decided upon and passed to prohibit your speaking against sin that takes place in the most depraved way, and the Word of God clearly says it is an abomination to God. You must ask the Lord to give you courage to live your daily life until He comes and judges the world with His righteous judgment. HALLELUJAH!
