Talladega Superspeedway Offers New Tailgate Zone for GEICO 500
Fans to Experience Tailgating “Talladega Style” in Prime Location Just Outside Frontstretch Entry Gates
Nowhere is tailgating – and having a blast with a group of enthusiastic individuals – more common than the south. Couple it with the Most Competitive, biggest and baddest race track on the planet, you have the all-new Talladega Superspeedway “Tailgate Zone” package, the perfect way to get ready for the GEICO 500 on Sunday, Oct. 19.
At NASCAR’s most exciting venue fans now have a hassle-free way to experience tailgating in a special, reserved and secured location in the track’s hospitality chalet area known as “Legends Village.” It is conveniently located outside the frontstretch entry gates near the tri-oval and infamous start-finish line of the 2.66-mile mammoth race track.
Fans can leave their tables and chairs at home and let the track take care of the rest. The only thing the fans need to bring is their appetite and a smile on their face. The all-inclusive Tailgate Zone package includes the following essentials:
•       One (1) 10’ x 20’ Tent (Includes 12 passes) in prime location – Legends Village
•       Two (2) Tables & Twelve (12) Chairs
•       Two (2) Parking spaces located at each individual tent
•       Three (3) Suite/Hospitality parking passes for each tent
•       Limited electrical power for each location
•       Nearby restrooms
•       Opportunity to cook or provide your own food & beverage on-site
“Tailgating is a long-standing tradition here at Talladega, and now fans can leave all the setup to us,” says Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch. “Our Legends Village is in a prime location – a quick minute walk to the gate entrance to the grandstands – and offers a beautiful backdrop for race day at Talladega. The Tailgate Zone is for families and friends, and can also be used for businesses to entertain clients and employees.”
An information tent will be set up race morning for fan assistance. And after the conclusion of the GEICO 500 the Tailgate Zone will remain open for one hour.
The Tailgate Zone package cost is $700, and available by calling the Talladega Superspeedway Ticket Office at 1-877-Go2-DEGA or by visiting www.talladegasuperpeedway.com. All participants in the Tailgate Zone Area must have a race ticket to the GEICO 500. Additional Tailgate Zone passes (up to three) can be purchased for $40 each. Optional items that can be provided at additional costs include: TV rental, Satellite Service, and catering.
