GIVING:
What are your thoughts on giving? You may be thinking giving what, and if you have those thoughts, giving of one’s self to the Lord is what the Lord requires. In what way you may be thinking, and if those are your thoughts, I would like to show you what the Word of the Lord says about giving.
The Lord told Moses to receive from the people, in order to build Him a sanctuary, whereby He could dwell among them. Moses was to receive from everyone who gave from the heart. The Lord looks upon man’s heart in all his doings, His Word teaches man to share from the riches He has given him, and not trust in what the world has to offer to sustain him, but be willing to share with others with a willing heart.
The Lord wants man to put his trust in Him, and not put his dependence on the systems of this world. Worldly pleasures last for a short time then you will need a “Holy Anchor”, because the Lord holds the future. In Exodus, God gave Moses instructions to tell the people how to share the “Manna” He sent from Heaven to sustain them. They were to gather according to their daily need. Some of them stored surplus, and worms multiplied in it, [Exodus 16:16-20]. In II Corinthians 8:12-14 and 9: 6-7, the Lord gave Paul the words to say to us. We must obey the Word of the Lord in giving, if we wish to receive. [I Timothy 6:17-19].
We are the Lord’s “sanctuary”, if you have accepted Jesus into your heart; if you have, He will build your life in Him. God wanted to dwell among His people, and now He dwells in the heart of everyone who has ‘accepted’ Jesus into their heart. GIVE yourself to the Lord, and He will build your life. AMEN!
