Homicide Investigation Update

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives have arrested and charged two suspects in connection with a homicide investigation. The incident occurred Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the 5600 Block of Aster Avenue.

The victim has been identified as:
Clarence Harris Jr, B/M, 37, of Birmingham, Alabama

Mugshot- Moore, TavarisThe first suspect has been identified as:
Walter Rhone, B/M, 41, of Birmingham, Alabama. A  Murder warrant with a $300,000 bond has been obtained against the suspect. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.

The second suspect has been identified as:
Mugshot- Rhone, WalterTavaris Moore, B/M, 33, of Birmingham, Alabama. A Hindering Prosecution warrant with a $30,000 bond has been obtained against the suspect. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.

Detectives believe the incident stemmed from some type of altercation between the victim and both suspects. At this time, it is unclear what caused the altercation.

Homicide Investigation Update

The Birmingham Police Department reports that victims from the double homicide investigation have been identified. The incident occurred Friday, April 25, 2014 in the 1300 Block of 57th place Ensley.

The first victim has been identified as:
Dekovan Harris, B/M, 36, of Fairfield, Alabama

The second victim has been identified as:
Sharday Ware, B/F, 28, of Birmingham, Alabama

West Precinct Officers responded to the incident location around 10 a.m. on a call that two people were found inside of a residence dead. Officers entered the residence and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. Both victims were pronounced deceased on the scene. No arrest has been made in this case.

Mugshot-Brown, DevonDetectives charged suspect Devon Brown (B/M, 21) with Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess Pistol (no bond) and Violation of State Firearms Act (VSFA) $ 5000 bond. Defendant Brown has been transferred to the Jefferson County Jail.
Mugshot- Williams, Aubrey Detectives also charged suspect Aubrey Williams (B/M, 24) with two counts of Attempted Murder (no bond) and VSFA ($300 bond). The defendant is still in the hospital at UAB.

Homicide Investigations

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the 700 Block of Sun Hill Road.
The victim has been identified as:
Ladarius Thomas, B/M, 19, of Bessemer, Alabama
East Precinct Officers responded to the incident location around 11:03 p.m. on a shots fired call. Upon arrival, officers were met by Jefferson County Deputies who stated they observed the victim lying in the parking lot with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head area. The victim was treated by Center Point Fire Department and transported to UAB Hospital. The victim remained in critical condition but was later pronounced deceased by UAB medical staff on April 24, 2014.
Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred April 28, 2014 in the 1700 Block of 4th Avenue West.
West Precinct Officers responded to Princeton Hospital around 1:30 a.m. on a call of a male being shot in the chest area. The victim was transported to UAB hospital where he later died from the injury. Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
