But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
This morning I was in a conversation and as the other person was speaking about some of the things they have done and places they have been, I was suddenly overwhelmed with emotions. I began to look back over my life and think about some of the choices I have made in the past that have led me to where I am today. As I was trying to deal with what was going on I felt in my Spirit “you have been living beneath your privilege.” Wow is all I could say because that statement is very true. I have not been living my life as if I am a child of a King, I have not been walking through life as if I am a joint heir with Christ or that my Father created everything and has clearly stated in His Word that all I need do is ask, seek or knock while believing to receive whatever I want, do whatever I want to do and be what I’ve been created to be. But am I alone? What about you? Have you been accepting what is being given or offered to you as the best there is or have you been standing on His Word and going for what you deserve?
“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. Luke 15:20
The beautiful thing about our Heavenly Father is that He will not hold those bad decisions against you, He has not been (like you and I) keeping a tally of your wrong turns and He certainly has not removed your name from the beneficiary list. Your inheritance is still yours. Stop accepting less than what you deserve. Stop selecting less than you desire and stop doing things that don’t tell others that you are His child. You deserve the best and God has the best for you. It’s time to live the life God intended and anything or anyone standing in the way of that should be informed and eliminated. You are royalty so stop living like a peasant. Take your place in the Kingdom, Minister Deidra Bibb
