The Jefferson County Department of Health, along with the cities of Birmingham and Bessemer, the Jefferson County Commission of Alabama and the Alabama Environmental Council will host the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Saturday, April 26, 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. at McClendon Park – Legion Field 400 Graymont Avenue West; Birmingham, AL.
This event will provide the means for residents of Jefferson County to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste items. Volunteers and staff will be on-site to unload residents’ vehicles. All materials should be organized by type to ensure quick and efficient unloading.

• Appliances
• Motor Oil
• Small Engines
• Batteries
• CEC container devices
• Prescription drugs
• Ammunition
• Paper for shredding
