It’s amazing that Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama and Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama were not included in this list
This month the U.S. News & World Report released its 2014 edition of the Best Colleges Report. Included are several ranking lists. Among them is the HBCU rankings. It is important to note that a total of 70 of the 105+ HBCUs are ranked on this list. According to the publication’s ranking methodology, there are a total of 81 eligible HBCUs and of them — 11 HBCUs were unranked. The ranking data includes tuition, enrollment, retention, graduation rates, and college admission test scores. The HBCU rankings list does not reflect the opinions or views of HBCU Lifestyle. Students interested in attending HBCUs should consult with parents, guidance counselors, teachers, and mentors to help in selecting the HBCU that is the right fit for them.
