On 3rd Sunday, February 16, at First Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Fairfield, (the host church), the monthly BAM (Birmingham Area Metro) Meeting was held beginning at 10:00 a.m. I presented the Nutrition Education Class to the Pathfinders, which included several topics relating to Nutrition, Nutrients, Exercise, etc.
All of the children participated in structured, fun exercise – like jump rope, and hot potato (using a beach ball). I always enjoy working with children and helping them to reach their potential to be healthier. I have just as much fun as the kids teaching them the importance of healthy eating and exercise to defeat the disease of obesity. Nutrition is as much a part of me as breathing every day.
At the end of the Nutrition Honors Class, I gave several students, along with the staff, ingredients for healthy snacks that they made for everyone to enjoy.
I enjoyed the festivities of the day!!!! The children learned a lot and earned honors. I thank God for a blessed BAM Monthly Meeting.
