MONTGOMERY, Ala. – College Sports Madness (CSM) has announced its 2013-14 All-SWAC Team and three Hornets are mentioned on the team.
Sophomore guard Jamel Waters has been named to CSM’s First Team. The Birmingham native heads into the SWAC Tournament at ASU’s leading scorer (14.2), leader in assists (6.2), leader in steals (54) and leading free throw shooter
(.784).
The Hornets’ second and third leading scorers were named to the Fourth Team. DeMarcus Robinson is second on the team averaging 11.9 points per game and has taken on more of a passing role later in the season and is actually second on the team in assists with 51. Robinson, who hails from Midville, Ga., is the team leader in three point field goals with 42.
Bobby Brown only started two games this season, spending most of the season as the SWAC’s best “sixth man.” He finished the season averaging 9.5 points per game and 4.9 rebounds. He has become a solid all-around player for the Hornets as he is second on the team with 36 three point field goals and has a team-leading
.336 shooting percentage on his three point attempts.
Brown finished the regular season with 26 assists, 13 blocked shots and 15 steals.
