Far too many people put their trust and confidence in what they can accomplish by their own means. Man cannot do anything good, or bad, unless God allows it. Take a look at man and see how vulnerable and limited he is; you see God made man a free agent to choose his own way, but without God giving him physical abilities, he cannot do anything. You may be thinking if he is free, why does he need God – you see, many think that way. The answer to the WHY is no one can do anything without God. GOD IS OMNISCIENT – HE HAS ALL KNOWLEDGE – HE IS OMNIPOTENT – HE HAS ALL POWER, therefore everything is limited, but God. Put not your trust in yourself or any man. [Jeremiah 17:5-8]
All who have given their lives over in God’s hand, and trust in Him, have made the choice to allow the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit to govern their lives through His written Word. Many trust in what man can do or what harm man can bring upon them, but if you put your trust in the Lord, He will guide you into all righteousness, and protect you from dangerous situations. He will guide you around evil forces and hidden traps that man sets. The Word of God says in Psalm 121: 2-4, “My help comes from the Lord, He will not allow your foot to slip, He who keeps Israel neither slumber nor sleep.” “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not unto your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 TRUST IN THE LORD.
