Event concludes with screening of the hit TV show “Scandal”
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Birmingham Councilwoman Sheila Tyson is hosting a Black History Month discussion on the evolution of African-American Women in the media, followed by a screening of the season premiere of the hit political drama “Scandal.”
“I wanted to host a Black History Month event that would engage people of all ages,” said Councilor Tyson. “This topic will allow us to converse about the great progress we’ve made, as well as the barriers that still remain. Plus, we all get to watch Scandal on the big screen and just enjoy each other’s company!”
The event is free and open to the public.
