CHOSEN TO CHOOSE
Did you not know you were chosen from the foundation of the world, in order to have the freedom of choice? Did you say you did not know that? Yes – that is what I said and I am asking the question as to why was that decision made? Oh my, well let me inform you that the Lord God, the God who made the world and everything therein from the foundation of this world made you too, and gave you the freedom to choose. That is why you can choose to live for the Lord or not to, but if you choose to have an everlasting life with Him, “you must make that choice now, and live for Him in this life.”
If you choose to live for your enemy, in this life, you will spend eternity in the enemy’s camp, and there you will burn in fire for all eternity. Did you ask how long is eternity? Yes that is what I asked. Well, eternity is everlasting; you never die, you are always living, just as you know you are living now.
Let me show you what the Holy Scripture says about life in eternity. Please look with me at Luke 16:19-31, that tells about a rich man and a certain beggar named Lazarus. The rich man lived sumptuously every day. Lazarus desired to have food, as he waited at the rich man’s gate. This Scripture tells of the choices made in this life. Not because of the rich man’s riches, but that he chose to live in his riches and not choose Jesus, and not that the poor man was poor, but he chose to choose Jesus to be his Saviour, because he knew there was another life after this life on earth – A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WITH JESUS. What is your choice?
It is not about what you have nor where you live, but where do you want to spend eternity.
