The Kiwanis Club of Vulcan recently held its 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the
Highland Golf Course. The winners were:
First place – the team of Fred Horn, James Gaddis, Gaines Hearns and Sidney Gunn
Second place – the team of State Senator Rodger Smitherman, Crystal Smitherman,
Rovoyl Land and Gennon Bazzle.
Women’s longest drive – Crystal Smitherman
Men’s longest drive – Ernest Richardson
Men’s closet to pin – Arthur Bailey
Founded April 4, 1980, the Kiwanis Club of Vulcan is committed to serving the community. It
sponsors Key Clubs, a youth service club, several nonprofit organizations, and several
Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Kiwanis Club of Vulcan encourages academic
excellence by awarding scholarships to high achieving high school seniors.
