BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The State Farm Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola announced that rapper V.I.C. will be traveling to Birmingham, Ala., to perform his hit song “Wobble” while fans dance along and try to set a world record for largest “Wobble.” The action will take place at 2 p.m. CT inside Legion Field prior to the largest Black college football game in the country on Saturday, October 26th.
Famed artist V.I.C. will be introduced by comedian and radio host Rickey Smiley for the big song and dance. Prominent local officials, cheerleaders and even the world famous Ronald McDonald and Hamburglar will “Wobble” with fans inside the stadium as they attempt to set the record for holding the world’s largest “Wobble.”
V.I.C.’s hit song the “Wobble” became famous in 2011 and 2012 when it swept the U.S. as the latest dance craze at clubs, events and even wedding receptions.
“This is yet another fun angle we have added to make the 72nd annual event even bigger and better than ever,” stated Faye Oates, executive director of the State Farm Magic City Classic. “It will be fun to watch more than 30,000 ‘wobbling’ fans sing and dance along to V.I.C.’s hit. With Ice Cube as the celebrity ambassador and Morris Day and the Time playing a post-game concert, now having V.I.C. perform the ‘Wobble’ and go after a world record is the icing on the cake for the fans.“
