Sebastian Lemos was a brave young boy who loved to play soccer and watch out for his younger sister, Isabela. He was diagnosed with Central Nervous System (CNS) Sarcoma, a rare tumor in children, at 4- years- old. For more than three years, Sebastian courageously faced doctor appointments and many different treatments. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with cancer in 2008. In 2009, his family and friends started Sebastian’s RunWalk for a Cure to honor his memory by raising money to help other children.
Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and younger. Sponsorship opportunities and online registration can be found at www.sebastiansrunwalk.org. More information is available by contacting Kelley Burgess at kelley.burgess@childrensal.org or calling 205.638.9008.
