The Birmingham Police Department reports that the 30th Annual “National Night Out” against crime will take place on Tuesday, August 6. National Night Out is observed throughout the City.
The “National Night Out” against crime campaign is presented by the Birmingham Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). This campaign will encompass citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials coming together to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness. “National Night Out” against crime, is a yearly festival in which neighbors gather to meet each other. Neighbors share food as they discuss issues relative to their area and get acquainted with local law enforcement.
